MicroScreen and AGI Corporation Launch MAA, Expanding Capabilities for Customers

MAA

MicroScreen and AGI Corporation have formed the MicroScreen AGI Alliance (MAA), bringing together two independently owned U.S. manufacturers to expand the capabilities available to their customers.

Through MAA, MicroScreen now offers its customers PCB tooling engineered and manufactured by AGI, while AGI now provides MicroScreen’s MicroGlide advanced nanocoating process to its stencil customers.

Expanding Capabilities Through MAA

AGI brings decades of experience in PCB tooling, engineering, machining, testing, automation, and integration. Its teams support tooling for screen printing, SMT assembly and reflow, conformal coating, soldering, routing, inspection, test, press fit, and other production applications.

“We wanted to add tooling, but we wanted to do it the right way,” said Steve Thomas, President of MicroScreen. “AGI has built a strong reputation for designing manufacturing tooling for decades. Rather than trying to recreate that ourselves, we’re working with a company that has the people, equipment and decades of experience in place. At the same time, we’re bringing our advanced nanocoating technology to their customers.”

MAA also connects the manufacturing and engineering resources of both companies. AGI operates multiple facilities in the Southern United States, while MicroScreen has locations across the Eastern and Midwest United States. Together, the companies can support day-to-day production and larger-volume programs while maintaining direct control over manufacturing.

Both companies will continue to operate independently and sell their own products, with MAA providing a way to offer these additional capabilities to their respective customers.
