MicroScreen Opens New Stencil Manufacturing Facility in Oxford, Connecticut

Microscreen Oxford Opening 26

MicroScreen has opened a new stencil manufacturing facility in Oxford, Connecticut, expanding its U.S. manufacturing capacity and providing faster service to customers throughout the Northeast.

Led by Jeff Poulos, MicroScreen’s East Coast Regional Manager, the new 8,000-square-foot facility represents another step in MicroScreen’s continued investment in U.S. manufacturing and long-term growth. The location puts customers from Maine to Philadelphia within range of one-day ground shipping.

Expanding Stencil Manufacturing in the Northeast

The Oxford facility manufactures SMT stencils with a 24-hour turnaround and is equipped with a Tannlin T11 laser system, capable of cutting approximately 10,000 to 15,000 apertures per hour. A Watt Laser SE12 Pro is also in operation for stencil inspection, step welding, and aperture measurement.

“We’ve been looking at ways to better support our customers in the Northeast, and Oxford made perfect sense for us,” said Nik Thomas, Director of MicroScreen. “We have an experienced team in place, and we are continuing to invest in new equipment that will allow us to offer even more capabilities for our customers.”

All major frame types and foil systems are manufactured at the facility, including VectorGuard, Apshen quick-mount adapter systems, QTS Wizard, and rework stencils. Datum PhD and Datum Fine Grain (FG) stainless steel foils are available, along with green frames for lead-free applications.

Continuing MicroScreen’s Investment in U.S. Manufacturing

MicroScreen has been manufacturing screens and stencils for more than 45 years. The Oxford facility expands the company’s ability to serve electronics manufacturers with SMT stencils, nanocoatings, precision screens, and custom tooling while adding dedicated manufacturing capacity in the Northeast.
